A source has claimed that marrying Jennifer Lopez has brought “too much drama” to Ben Affleck’s life.
The couple’s marriage has been dogged by divorce rumors in recent months, and the rumours intensified after they celebrated their second wedding anniversary apart.
A source told OK! magazine that the breakdown of the estranged couple’s marriage has left Affleck devastated.
“Jennifer is the woman of Ben’s dreams but she’s always creating drama. Ben feels disappointed about that, sad and depressed that things aren’t working out the way he wanted,” a source told the outlet last month.
The source also added that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s contrasting lifestyles added tension to their romance.
“Jennifer has a large entourage that follows her around every day, including cameramen, photographers, assistants, and trainers,” the source said.
“She tried to make Ben understand that being Jennifer Lopez is essential. Jennifer is her brand, she lives and breathes it while Ben can put his work aside if he wants to.”
Another source added: “Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have gone through periods where things haven’t been going well between them due to their different personalities and not having enough time together.
They don’t always see eye to eye. They both have a lot going on between family and work commitments and it takes a lot out of them.”
Other sources said the On the Floor hitmaker was “shocked” to learn that Affleck had moved his belongings out of their new $68 million Beverly Hills mansion.
“Jen was horrified when she came back and found Ben had packed everything away while she was gone. It was a real slap in the face for her,” a source said of the singer’s return from a solo trip to Europe.
Just one day after their 2nd wedding anniversary, Jennifer was spotted cycling through the Hamptons.
Affleck was spotted wearing the outfit to his office in Los Angeles.
The couple have faced months of speculation about a split, with a source telling Page Six that their marriage was believed to be over since March.
